One word
kept entering my psyche while reading this book, sensual. Not just in a
single sense, but in all the ways anything could be felt. The sensations of
our characters hit them deep, and they took me right into their moment with them.
Whether it was in a scene, savouring food and drink, experiencing nature, or
feeling things best left unsaid, I sensed as if I was there with them. They
made me smile, they made me cringe, they made me want to eat the food hey
were trying, and they made me cry. They were sensual in all that they did,
and I got to experience it all along with them <3
