5 stars I will admit, I was a bit concerned when the story started out, where were the Eric and Nikolett I knew and loved? Everyone else was the same, but these two, they were faded pictures of themselves. When one showed signs of their strong personality, the other faded, and I was not happy about that. Then, the skies opened, the sun shined down, and they were themselves again, but better. They were honest, tough, unreasonable, and caring. They had heat, desire, feistiness, and stubbornness. While the story, and the series, concluded, it gave me laughs, tears, and some page-flipping moments. It also left me completely satisfied with the outcome, and where all of our beloved characters have ended up <3

5 stars This was, for lack of a better word, a muted romance. There was attraction, definitely. There was heat, absolutely. But our couple connected, and just kept connecting, until the next thing they knew, they were dating. Both were single parents, and that played an important part in how fast and slow they moved. They were sweet to their kids, to each other, and Logan was very determined to make Nalia his, but he didn’t push, he simply persisted. Loved how all the drama was around them, but not between them. Their HEA was a forgone conclusion, and it happened as most of the other parts of their lives, it just came around, and there it was <3 p.s. I may be projecting, but I feel like we met a bunch of side characters that we hopefully see more of and they get their own HEA X

5 stars The thing that I love about this series, and what tears me apart, is how much our characters have been through! Hutch and Mabel, oh my, every time you thought, wow, that is bad, more comes up that they have had to endure. The fact they were still standing, going on, and were trying to carve out a good life for themselves, admirable. The reason they had so many hang-ups and reactions others didn’t quite understand, understandable That they still went for it, even if they didn’t realize they were, and fell for each other almost on sight (though they didn’t realize that until much, much, much later), a wonderful testament to the strength of their hearts <3
