These two
snuck up on me, the level I got invested in their relationship before I knew
it! They weren’t quite enemies, but they definitely had animosity between
them. Then they did a thing, and kept doing a thing, and before they
processed any of the things, they were in love <3 |

These two
just kept breaking my heart! The struggles they had, the struggles they have,
and their absolute devastation at not being ‘more’ or settled. Their worries
and doubts, and their confusion about their reactions, it radiated from them
and you were caught in that blast. The quiet they felt when together, when
everything was silenced. That they realized, finally, they were experts at
avoidance. The frank and honest way those around them cared for them, tried
to help them, and when Aiden’s mom just stepped up. That they did figure it
all out, and it wasn’t easy of straightforward, that each path had pitfalls
they needed to recognize and deal with. The HEA that they both wanted to bad,
for so long, and finally achieved <3 |
