Alaska Force series by Megan Crane

SEAL's Honor, 4 stars

Great start to this series! Blue is hanging onto to pain from his childhood, and it is colouring all parts of his life. Everly has suffered a traumatic event and is need of help. While they were not childhood friends, they were neighbours, and because of her tenacity, they are thrown together. Danger meets them when they least expect it and from unexpected sources. As they face their trials, the attraction between them blooms and grows into feelings. Growth on both their parts finally allows them to have their HEA  <3

Sniper's Pride, 5 stars

This had a layer of melancholy that just twisted at my emotions! Griffin had such strong, thick, high, walls, that only he could scale them. Mariah had been through enough in life, as much as she battered at them, it seemed hopeless. The attraction was there, the emotions were there, and it took a bit for everything to fall into place, but it finally did <3

Sergeant's Christmas Siege, 5 stars

These two had so much internalized damage from their youth, and it all bubbles up as they try to solve this mystery! Starting from a controversial stance, the more they spend time together, the more they imagine acting on their attraction. When they do, it brings more problems, and when it should be all sorted out, it all falls apart. Luckily, he is persistent, and she agrees before she has time to doubt it <3

Delta Force Defender, 5 stars

Well, the emotions flowed free in this one! That was to be expected, as nothing about Caradine was going to be straightforward, but Isaac, well Isaac snuck up and destroyed me. And while all that was happening, danger and adventure chased them both, tore them apart, and threw them together. They didn’t change who they were, but they definitely settled into the best versions of themselves by the end <3

Special Ops Seduction, 5 stars

These two have a past, and we finally get to know the full extent of it! And in finding it out, we realize this is not an enemies to lovers situation, but yearning from afar circumstance. It takes them time to figure it all out, and they broke my heart, and steamed up the pages, on their way. The finale, the realizations, the danger, the acceptance, it stole my heart and settled my soul <3
