These two
ran into trouble at every turn! Nothing went to any type of plan right from
the start, and they kept getting sideswiped by issues all the time. Even
then, it took them a bit to connect all the dots, and by then, it was almost
too late! |
Securing Sidney, 5 stars

Oh my, this
one had some incidents described that really hurt! It is to be expected when
our FMC is into rescuing dogs, and her motivation is something nobody would
expect. There were some fun moments though, when her and Caite became best
buddies stands out. Of course, Sidney and Decker working through their
disagreements and committing to each other, that was the heart and the soul
of their story <3 |
Securing Piper, 5 stars

One of the
things I loved so much about this story was that it didn’t underplay the
situations the characters found themselves in. There was danger, worry,
hopelessness, and fear. There were issues, problems, and barriers to
overcome. The resiliency of all the characters, young and old, in getting
through these had me completely invested in their story. It was a conclusion
that you would fall in love with them, just as they fell in love with each
other <3 |
Securing Zoey, 5 stars

These two
proved that it is sometimes luck, not skill, that saves your life! They had
their forced proximity, and never really came out of it, even once rescued.
They did struggle to communicate clearly once they were out of danger, but
once that was cleared up, smooth sailing. I liked that Mark didn’t bounce
back from his experiences and struggles, and that Zoey recognized that and
supported him. More on the adventure over the action and a great story <3 |
Securing Avery, 4.5 stars

This had
turns that were unexpected in the emotional front! These two almost had
complete role reversals of what you would expect, and I was there for it all.
Both had valid points, both were holding back, both struggled to express
themselves clearly. What wasn’t a question, the bond and the connection they
had with each other, it just took them a bit to get everything else lined up
to align with it <3 |
Securing Kalee, 5 stars

What a
fantastic ending to the series! These two were destined to be together, they
complimented each other in every way, not similar, not opposite, but true
partners. And that ending, all the familiar and friendly faces, brought tears
to my eyes. Then, that epilogue, the conversation with Piper and Kalee, flat
out sobbing through the smile <3 |
