Machine, 5 stars
audiobook
| Well, that
was not at all what I expected! The depth of the emotions by the characters,
their forthrightness, the honesty that they display, you couldn’t help but
like them. Their story isn’t an expected one, but they made it work for them
in a way that made them happy 😊 |
Bishop's Desire, 5 stars
audiobook
| These two
couldn’t appear more opposite if they tried! But deep down, they fell for
each other, and those differences tended to flip-flop as time went on.
Eduardo had reactions that weren’t expected, while Chloe kept her calm and
carried on as needed. A great story with a great couple! |
Ivy's Mountain Man, 3 stars
audiobook
| I was
completely enjoying how this was progressing, and then it ruined it all in
the last 20%. Ivy and Rus’ reactions to certain events made absolutely no
sense and were a bit over the top. The third act break-ups were contrived and
unnecessary, and, promoting toxic parenting made no sense. I’m glad the
couple worked it out, but, for me, certain plot points made no sense |
Taming Lucinda, 3 stars
audiobook
| Was Lucinda
completely redeemed? No, but, we got to see the human side of her, and some
growth from her children. This was hard, because while redeeming her, we saw
a bad side to the characters we already knew and loved. I don’t think we
needed her story, the resolution wasn’t really that satisfying, and while we
saw the flip-side of situations, it didn’t fix anything |
