I feel like I missed something in the story? It jumped to the ending, and then we had an epilogue, and all is good, confusing and unsatisfying

Bears are some of the best shifters, and Shane is textbook with his easy-going manner, love of all things sweet, and ability to switch into a vicious predator in a moment. Freya is no easy-going wolf, she is under pressure, frightened, and unsure, but she has such inner strength, it radiates from her.
