How can a
book feel like coming home while still being all shiny new? I’m not sure, but
this is most definitely the case with Avenging Angel, the start of the new
romantic suspense series. This is the off-shoot of the Rock Chick series, and
it is a few years later, and our teen boys are all grown up, and old Sniff,
new Cap, is in Phoenix, where Mace and Stella have moved, and set-up a new
branch of NI&S. There is little left of the teen we knew, except for his
huge heart, and his caring nature, which shine through in the man he has
become. Raye is wonderful, and I loved how she developed as we learned more
about her. Yup, it has insta-love. Of course it has a girl posse. No doubt
about the hotness of the hot bunch next gen. But more importantly, it is full
of love, action, zaniness, and understanding that only comes from finding
your place in the world, and being completely comfortable being there <3 |
