 5 stars

I am completely and utterly immersed in this world right now! My mind is racing with all the things I read, all the things that happened, all the worries that I have for our core, Doms and subs. This part of the story has fractures all through it, but that only shows the strength at the foundation of these men. We get to see the past, how things came together and fell apart, and how the base of The Asylum was forged. We experience heartache and heartbreak as ties are pulled, snapped at, and strummed by outside forces determined to break them. Old habits and natural instincts have to be tempered for the safety of the whole

This part of the story also shows the depth of the human heart for love and forgiveness. That the goodness that was instilled in your soul can become a habit again, with time, support, and force of will. That tests aren’t always win or lose, the important part is stay on the board and play another day. That hope is eternal, and love survives despite proximity. That each one of these men, core and extended, have an important role in each others’ lives, and they are being called upon to show it, and their strength, like never before <3
