I had a lot
of trepidation going into this book, but I should have known to trust where
the authours would take us! There are still some worries about what the
future will bring for certain people and groupings, but the conflicts and
issues that caused the need for this book are pretty much settled. (Needless
to say, this is nowhere near a standalone, go back to the start of the series
and work your way here, you will not be disappointed!) I loved catching
up with the members of The Asylum, seeing the dynamics that were shaken stabilized.
The aftershocks experienced took some time for some to come to the surface,
but the bonds were stronger because of it. Shacks and Danny will always have
a special place in my heart and they burrowed even deeper this time around.
Overall, I am a little anxious about some things coming up in the future, but
so relieved with how things worked out in the now <3 |
