lovers, check. Parental disapproval, double check. Societal scorn, obviously.
Running away only to be forced together in close proximity? Well, that was
totally swoon-worthy. This was full of heart, love, discovery, and adventure.
Not just for Rosalind in the ways of the world (who doesn’t love a
wonderfully sheltered, innocent, heroine!) but for Marlow in his heart and
soul. These two know they belong together, can’t stay away from each other.
She will do what she can to make it happen, not understanding the
consequences. He understands the consequences all to well, and doesn’t think
himself worthy. But they figure it out. They realize they do fit each other
perfectly. They both want to please the other so, so much. Their love binds
them when everything else, everyone else, doesn’t see what they know, they
are meant to be together, forever! |
