“There are
a couple of things you learn to do as a citizen of Bliss. Don’t f@*k with the
beekeeper who supplies Stella’s creamed honey. Aliens like to probe you so
eat your beets. And stay calm when someone pulls a gun because someone always
pulls a gun.” Sigh, I completely
and utterly loved this menage romance, because #1, it is set in my happy place,
#2 it has two smokin’ hot, yet completely different, men vying for our
heroine’s attention, and #3, they decide to share rather than compete! There
is some mystery, because it is Bliss, and bad things happen right along with
the good. Some of our favourite townsfolk are also around, because how can it
be Bliss without meddling? We also learn a bit more about some other people,
and get a deeper insight into how they fit. Oh, and there is someone new,
related to the Dallas crew of McKay-Taggart. But the core is our two best
friends with one realizing they have been mis-reading the situation for
years, and the other trying to finally make his move and failing. Then we
have the stubborn grump, thinking he is ready to make a move, but not sure,
but maybe, and definitely possibly soon. None of these three would work as a
duo, and it is apparent they definitely can work as a trio, if they can move
past their perceptions, trust in themselves, and allow the others in. There are
laughs, there are cringey moments, there is definitely attraction and steam,
there is heart and caring, and there is a town that cares about the people
who live there, and take care of their own. There is also an OMG WHAT WAS THAT
ending that whets your appetite and has you salivating for the next book in
the series!!!!! |
