This was a
read that took you places you didn’t want to go. Mara has been in enemy hands
for 15 years. She is 20 now, and no-one swooped in and saved her, no knight
arrived just in time to stop the savages from getting to her. And while we
don’t experience those things with her, they have happened, and everyone
knows that very, very, bad things happened. Dante was her best friend’s
brother when she was a little girl. He has suffered horrors as well, but since
he found out about Mara still being alive, nothing has stopped him from
finding her, getting her back. That is the easiest part they find out. Too
many enemies still exist for them, so much darkness is still chasing them
down. Piled on top of that is the attraction and feelings that are between
them. Trying to protect each other becomes second nature. Nothing can keep
them apart, as they are always drawn back together. Once they work through
the dangers, the emotional baggage they both carry, only then they find peace
in themselves and with each other Now, about Noah…… |
