It cumulated
to this! All the matings, all the fates, all turmoil and conflicts, they were
leading to this couple, these characters, and this story. I liked that the
story didn’t shy away from the uncomfortable, the truths of living in this
world, and the fragility, as well as the strength, of the beings living
there. I loved that, while no-one is redeemed, that the balance and the bonds
between the characters are restored or tolerated. What I really loved was the
relationship that existed and developed, on so many levels, between Sydney
and Noah. The way their character supported each other when needed, challenged
the other when they needed prompting, and didn’t lose themselves in the
other, but became stronger with them other by their side. They came into
their own, not under their parents’ wings, but on their own, and then faced
their pasts to forge their futures. It all cumulated to this, to Noah and
Sydney, coming together and making their place in their world <3 |
