lovers Montgomery style! This book kicks off the Fort Collins Montgomery’s, and
all is not well in this family. The 5 siblings, with two sets of twins, are
tight, but there are some parental issues. This affects both work items and
relationships with the Denver and Boulder branches, from a parental
standpoint. We are focused on Annabelle in this book, the middle child, and
her once good, now tumultuous, relationship with an old former friend, her
dead husbands’ brother. The chemistry between them cannot be denied, and once
he, Jacob, is straightened out, they make peace. But that darn chemistry has
then getting all steamy, and they decide to run with that. But keep it to the
steaminess only, none of those pesky feelings. Yep, they fail at that, and
life’s pressures cause fissures before things can be straightened out. Throw
in not one, but two, baddies, causing both ending up injured, and then they finally
get their oh so well deserved HEA. Annabelle and Jacob were a joy to read
about, they are so similar and well matched, I loved them! |
