I’m not
sure what it was about this story, but it hit right in feels the whole way
through. My heart ached for Emily, and as much as Annie gave some levity, the
weight of the burden Emily felt through almost the entire book weighed on my
feelings. It took quite a bit for things to work out right for the characters
involved, and I kept rooting for them, waiting for them to get on the same
page, the right foot. There was only a few moments when it happened, and you
knew the trouble was going to strike before too long. It did, and
surprisingly, the weight lifted, because you knew it was finally going to be
set to rest. Loved Emily, loved Fletch, and loved little Annie! |
