Not going
to lie, there were moments in this book that just sucker-punched me in the
feels. I’d be reading along, loving the story and the relationship between
Dutch and Georgie, and a thing would happen on the page, and I’d dissolve
into a great heaving sob. Not a lot of them, but they were there, and they
made their impression. On me, on the characters, and they will for you too.
Dutch is a gentlemen biker, a deep thinker, a social intellectual, his
father’s son. Both of them. And when he meets Georgie, it doesn’t go well.
But Georgie isn’t a slacker, she is a warrior of justice, emotionally aware,
and a great empath, so she sets to make it right. Thus begins the longest
date in history, which includes a cat-not-my-cat, and learning that the Black
boys are cat whisperers, and they didn’t even know it! Some laughs, some
sexiness, some feels, but at the heart of it, a man finding his way,
re-finding his family, with his girl, and a woman finding her man, and still
being herself and keeping her passions. This story did not disappoint and
left me feeling hopeful, loved, and happy for the future of the characters
