How
satisfying was that ending? No, seriously, after being battered by feeling the
pain and despair from Sean, to have him happy and adjusted by the end of the
book, it simply took my breathe away! Sean and Jenna met on a good lull in a
place where they were surrounded by a world at war. They eked out their
happiness in a moment and then the world collapsed on them. Thank goddess for
Jenna’s stubbornness and tenacity, because my heart hurt for her. She lost so
much as well, but she was willing to fight no matter how exhausted she was.
Sean finally figured out what was worth recovering for, with nudges, pushes,
and insight from people who loved him. Directly and indirectly he found himself
while realizing he wasn’t a new man, he was the same man on a different path
now, and Jenna was right there with him |
Now, how Zoe managed to work in a marriage in trouble when the ink
wasn’t even dry on the marriage certificate show her dedication to the trope! |
