Carter was
a tough nut to crack, and the thing was, nobody could crack that for him,
only he could. And it took him the entire book to realize that, stubborn, stubborn
man. He is so lucky that he crossed paths, well, chair yelling, with Zoe,
because she brought all the joy he needed into his life. She showed him how
to love, how to be happy, how to share your life, with someone. Not because
of what you can give them, or they can give you, but because it makes you
happy. In the end, Carter figured that out, and got his HEA, with his love
for Zoe, and his family back together!
