Oh, how I liked Aya, but how I also wanted to shake her sometimes when she didn't think! In the post-apocalyptic world we are drawn into, woman are few, but that doesn't make them revered, not really. The world is split into the elites, and the dregs, and the elites treat all dregs horribly, but some, especially horrible to the women
Aya catches the eye of the wealthiest, and that is her downfall, because she can't control her natural reaction and disdain, and that only draws her further into trouble. Dare becomes obsessed with her, and needs to have her, and has the means to get what her wants
What neither expected was the explosive and firey passion that ignites between them. They also didn't expect the feelings that came with the their attraction. By the time they do, they are too staunchly settled into their roles, and confused by everything. Both get caught up doing the right thing, finally, and that only hurts them personally more.
Watching these two get together and work things out was hard on the nerves, but I couldn't stop reading, couldn't look away, until the very end!
