Max and Cheyenne have a fate thrown at them by the moon goddess. They don't shy away from it, though neither knows what it means, or where it is headed. Up until the very end, you still don't know how they will pull this off, and then, super shocker, and it all falls into place
As broken as Max seems to himself, he doesn't feel that way with Cheyenne. As confused as Cheyenne is with everything happening, Max calms her. They have more than a bond, they immediately understand each other. The chemistry they have, that has always been there, can now be set free, as they fall in love with each other
