It has been so long since a book delved into that truly dark place, where there are no rules, and people are completely broken, and this book went there, and I was hooked from the first car ride to the last! I loved that this was no holds-barred broken, because it made the desperation real, true, and the feelings even more intense.
Kitty had been warped by her experiences and didn't see anything wrong with that. Noah knew where she was, and he wanted to give her what she needed, but knew it wouldn't help. There was no way out, only Kitty held the key, and she didn't want out. When things seemed hopeless, Noah was there. When she needed hope, she knew what she needed to do. All seemed lost, and no progress made, and then, while still in tatters, it all fell into place. No solutions, no resolutions, but two people who knew they needed each other, to get through everything coming their way!
