When a tigress and vampire solve a crime, and romance sparks between them!

Unhallowed Murder by Candace Blevins
I loved the energy between Josef and Veronica (Ronnie), they were way more than sparking, there was a definite current connecting these two!

First and foremost, this is a murder mystery, where what appears only leads to more twists and turns, as a case needs to be solved. As our trusty tigress uses her policing skills to bring justice to a young woman's death. She is balancing her jurisdiction with the FBI, and fighting her own personal demons, while doing so. She enables the help of Josef, a vampire who has been around for many millennia, and heads up security for the head vampire in this area, The Abbot

Ronnie and Josef have an instant attraction, which they work through, as they solve the crime. She has personal preferences for very legitimate reasons, and he only wants what is best for her. The unexpected events of their attraction happen alongside the many facets of the investigation. It builds as they discover more about each other, and solidify their relationship over time

The story gives an insight into what is real, and different, from what it appears, on a night where everyone dresses up to be something else. Evil can appear wholesome, innocence can be an illusion, and the real reason why Roman statues depict men's physiques in a certain way
