This was a sweet love story with a slow burn. Both Rose and Tanner have had tragedy in their lives, but they keep moving forward, determined to make their way in life. Even when their paths intersect, their attraction is mutual, but their past holds them back. They don't have an easy road, and Rose is in danger almost constantly, but they try and find a way. Once everything is settled, there are still questions that could keep them apart, but luckily, they are both well and committed to each other
I loved the mystery in this book, the action, the backstories, and the love story that brings Rose and Tanner together!
